Laura Ziskin lassoed the stars for 'Stand Up to Cancer'

Ziskin is correct when she says "We're not going to cure cancer in a television show," Ziskin says, "but I do believe we can solve this. We don't have to cure cancer or eradicate it. But we have to make it what it can be -- a manageable disease, like diabetes." We cannot discount the cure-however we must widen our focus towards prevention- Never before have the incidences of cancer been so high in not only in children but for adults as well with cancers unrelated to smoking.
